Frequent asked questions Here you have some questions normally we receive. Answers will lead you in your choice. |
|
May we contact you by phone? |
|
We both speak an understandable English, we just require you to speak very slowly, using simple and clear words. Giulia speaks also French
and an understandable German. We ask you to contact us by e-mail: it is the easiest way to correspond at you questions. If you want to speak directly by phone this is possible but not advisable for our first contact or for setting any agreement. Anyway if you want you can ask us our phone numbers. At the time of your stay you will have all the phone numbers necessary to have any type of assistance. |

Which is your refund policy in case of cancellation? |
||
We can not refund the deposit paid if you are going to cancel the reservation.
We can not refund the entire amount paid in case of cancellation within six weeks. Anyway in some cases we try to have a friendly approach trying to give an opportunity to recover the amount paid according a further reservation during low season periods. We
will refund all money paid if something as a result of force majeure or any other
occurrence outside our control shall oblige us to cancel our agreement. To prevent scam deceptions any amount due as reimboursement will not be directly refunded without sufficient warrants. |
||
How can I get referrals from your previous guests? |
||
Some people ask us for direct referrals from our previous guests. In such cases we normally ask the permission to some of them to be contacted directly by the enquirer. Normally our guests are happy to offer their contribute but all the procedure takes some days until we are ready to give the details of the person to contact. Some guests have also published their opinion about Nati's House in the review-section of certain web sites where the flat is currently advertised. We have copied and pasted some of them here (the link is above on the bar). Others have published pages in their personal blogs, as in the case we present here. Many of Paolo's Facebook-friends have been guests in Nati's House or in some other managed place. |

In his Facebook page, Paolo has collected many people who have appreciated our rental service, you can visit it and ask friendship if you are interested to maintain the contact with him or a window on our rental issues. Paolo's blog "Archirent News" is also a place you can visit and get information about topics of the managed properties. We are proud to offer a positive vision of tourist rental.
Renting apartments is not our sole profession but the way to allow us to maintain our properties and in the same time
an "open window facing the world" through the Web. It is a way to know other people and cultures. Everywhere we travelled
we found kindness and enthusiasm. We would like to offer you exactly what we aspect
from other people.

What can you do in case of emergency? |
|
We are not organised to give you a prompt solution in case of emergency and for this reason we strongly recommend you to purchase a trip insurance before your arrival. This can be also useful in those cases prohibiting the depart from your home (a classic dramatic event in every family: the last minute fever). |

Is there a security deposit required? |
|
| No we do not require a security deposit. If during your stay some damages will occur please notice us
the fact: booking and paying in advance your stay you demonstrate that you trust us, and we do the same with you. |
||
|
Is it possible a home exchange with you? |
|
We are happy to answer to any proposals of exchanging
your home with us. Actually the properties we can involve in a home swap is "Nati's House" or our "Trullo della Luna" in Apulia.
But in the case, due to our working tasks, we would like to exchange the apartment on a non-simultaneous basis! We can consider also short periods, as long week-ends. We are particularly interested in the European cities easily reachable by low-cost flights from Bologna.

||
How can we face the "acqua alta" once in Nati's House? |
||
Venetians have surely a problem since the high tide sometime
reachs the streets and some ground floors. Italian Government is now financing a
colossal infrastructure (mobile dams) called M.O.S.E. to resolve this problem. For tourists it may be a picturesque experience (see here please ): we filled a cabinet with "Wellington boots" that will allow you to move everywhere in the city. Our apartment is safely located at the first floor far from the high tide and from typical venetian humidity of the ground floors: please consider this fact if you are still deciding where to go. |
||
|
How can I move in Venice? |
|
Venice is a place where cars seem belonging to other planets, but you have only four
ways to visit the city: public boat service (but the net of service is limited around
the town and through the main canals), taxi boats normally very expensive, gondola
but except some shuttle services it remains a pleasure trip and ... your feet. So,
in any rate, we suggest to bring with you comfortable shoes with rubber soles and
luggage on wheels. Into the apartment you will find slippers which are washed for all the turnovers. |
||
Will we meet in person once in Italy? |
||
Sometimes Paolo is available on Saturday to meet our guests in
Venice, Florence and to lead them into their Italian experience. In the case Paolo can not be present, don't worry because at the time of your arrival you will
already have in your hands a set of keys (delivered by post) and detailed instructions. A confidential link will bring you into a not-public area of this website showing all the tips and suggestions to enjoy your stay in the best way and details about how to reach the apartment by your own. We delight to meet our guests in our home in Bologna, so if you think to visit not only Venice but also Bologna (two hours by train), please contact us: accordingly with our other working tasks, we may find a little time for having a chat, an ice-cream or even a lunch together. |
