Villa Loris is a magnificent mansion located up on the hills between Bologna and Modena. We are absolutely convinced of its great tourist potential. First of all it is located in a strategic position in the core of a hilly territory witnessing hundreds of years of history and tradition but also offering mild panoramas of a luxuriant human-controlled nature. Surely Rocca Malatina is an optimal base for the wise tourist searching for the most original environments of Italy: those uncontaminated places with that particular magic making Italy renowned to all the world travellers since the baroque period. But the real strong point of our rental offer is the mansion’s furniture: without false modesty, we ensure you will live for a while in the spirit of our bourgeois well-to-do families of the last two centuries. The Misley family, originally from Campiglio, has his residence in the nearby historic town of Forbara, in the territory of the Romanesque church of Denzano. The original lineage rises back to a group of Catholic immigrants from England, after the Act of Supremacy of Henry VIII (1527). The family history is closely linked to Modena history, due to the social and political commitments of its numerous members. Mrs Olga Misley, involving her great sense of patronage, recently restored her mansion and furnished its rooms with many antique pieces of art. We offer a double possibility to our guests: as the villa is a two-storey building, our guests may choose just to use the first level with a central living room, a dining room, a kitchen, a bathroom and a bedroom for two people; or use also the second level with other three bedrooms, a bathroom and the central family library.
